was honored to have served as President of the American College of Physicians (ACP) this past year! ACP is the largest medical specialty organization in the U.S. This past week was an amazing experience with concluding my presidential term in San Diego at the #IM2023 scientific meeting; while celebrating the value of internal medicine physicians globally. So many emotions this week; but being able to celebrate my term with my family, colleagues, mentors, mentees, and friends was a highlight of my professional career! I am so pleased to announce that through a philanthropic donation by one dearest colleagues, the ACP summer internship program was officially named on my behalf as the RYAN MIRE, MD Summer Internship Program! I am still amazed to have a legacy for a pathway program that will positively impact underrepresented pre-medical students for years to come. Congratulations to the incoming President, Dr. Omar Atiq and new team of ACP leadership. It has been a privilege to serve the American College of Physicians!
