Brentwood Alumni Chapter focuses on molding STEM students
Updated: Dec 3, 2021
The well-being of our children determines the future of our community. The men of Brentwood Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. embarked on an ambitious goal to make a difference in the lives of children in our community. We partnered with Siemens and Metro Nashville Public Schools – Community Achieves to inspire our children to reach for the stars. Leveraging the Siemens STEM Day resources, we were able to engage, amaze and expand the learning of middle school students.

The chapter wanted to develop positive outcomes in youth that include competence, confidence, connection and character.
The objective – Ignite young students’ interest in science, technology, engineering and math. The Siemens STEM Day partnership provides an opportunity to talk about the importance of science and technology as “cool” subjects that can lead to exciting career opportunities.
Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, the men of Brentwood Alumni Chapter, Siemens employees and other partners from both the private / public sector worked with over 1,000 students in 19 community achieve schools. Impact on the students was amazing. Brentwood Alumni Chapter really values the collaboration with Siemens, Metro Nashville Public Schools and the AIM Foundation. Working together we can continue change the trajectory of our youth in a very positive way.
